30 day geek challenge – Day 24: Favorite Superhero

Missed the list? I’m doing a 30 day geek challenge.

If you don’t know who this guy is, I’m disappointed in you. El Chapulin Colorado is a Mexican Hero, or at least a parody of heroes.

He’s from a TV Show with the same name, back in the ’70s. For more info, check Wikipedia.

30 day geek challenge – Day 23: Favorite Language

Missed the list? I’m doing a 30 day geek challenge. 7 days and I’m done!

There was once a time where I became obsessed with the Elvish language, and tried to learn its words and its ways. Then I grew up and forgot all about it.

30 Day Geek Challenge – Day 22: Favorite Videogame Company

Missed the list? I’m doing a 30 day geek challenge.

Valve. Creators of games like Half-Life, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead and Portal. Now if only they’d bring their warez to Linux…

30 Day Geek Challenge – Day 21: Favorite Vehicle

Missed the list? I’m doing a 30 day geek challenge.

Well, this one’s easy. While the Delorian can only take me anywhere in time, I’m stuck wherever the car is. TARDIS, on the other hand, can travel through time *and* space (And through parallel universes, occasionally). And don’t let appearances deceive you, the TARDIS is actually bigger inside than it is outside.

30 day geek challenge – Day 20: Best. Videogame. Ever.

Missed the list? I’m doing a 30 day geek challenge.

Capcom’s Mega Man is by far my favorite video game franchise, despite the fact that they’ve always stuck with a tried-and-true formula.

My favorite Mega Man Series game? Mega Man Battle Network 5. Despite being the fourth sequel of a spinoff, it’s the most polished in terms of gameplay, and the best one in terms of enemies and allies. If you’ve never given the Mega Man Battle Network series a shot, you should definitely do so.

30 day geek challenge – Day 19: Favorite Gadget

Missed the list? I’m doing a 30 day geek challenge, and It’s almost done…

The Google Nexus One is my favorite gadget. It’s extremely moddable, and mine’s currently running CyanogenMod 7, which adds a plethora of features that Google should’ve built-in.

30 day geek challenge – Day 18: Most Undesireable Company

Missed the list? I’m doing a 30 day geek challenge, and I’m neither here nor there…

I don’t mean to sound like a hipster, but I’ve been hating Sony before hating Sony became all the rage

I really dislike Sony. Recently? Due to their frivolous lawsuits against ordinary citizens who enjoy modifying their property.

I’m talking about both GeoHot and failoverfl0w. A pair of kids who did the equivalent of taking out the radio of their car and replacing it with a shinier one, and getting sued by the car maker for doing so. Because God Forbid add functionality to hardware you already own. This might sound far-fetched, but if the lawsuit had failed, I wouldn’t doubt their efforts to try it.

But I’m not pissed at them for these lawsuits, I’ve been pissed at them from way before that. Not many hold a grudge this long, but I’ve hated Sony since their Rootkit fiasco, in which they planted a virus in music CDs, and upon inserting them on poor, innocent Windows machines, they’d destroy the ability to burn CDs. Because pirating music is the only use for burning CDs, right?

So, no PS3, no PSP, no Sony Music, Sony Movies or any other Sony Stupid Piece of Shit That Doesn’t Frakking Work. (NSFW, Language)

Second Place for Most Undesirable Company? Oracle.

30 day geek challenge – Day 17: Favorite Hardware Vendor

Missed the list? I’m doing a 30 day geek challenge, which I’m starting to regret…

Quality is our #1 dream

When you think of Hardware Vendors, you probably think Dell or HP or IBM. Not my case. ACME Corporation wins its top spot.

They have provided me with countless hours of childish humor, how could I not love them?

For more insane humor, please read this Opening Statement from the Wile E. Coyote vs ACME case.

30 day geek challenge – Day 16: Favorite Developer

Missed the list? I’m doing a 30 day geek challenge, and I’m growing tired of writing these!

When I think of “Developers”, “Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers” comes to mind, but not that Steve.

Steve Kondik. better known as Cyanogen, is probably the reason I got started in Android modding. Although I haven’t modded much.

I really appreciate the work he (And his team) have put together despite legal issues that have arisen here and there, he continued his hacking.

Thanks, Steve.

P.S. I really tried
