Nice list. Although I prefer Kdenlive over PiTiVi. Oh, and the recent release of GIMP 2.8 carries major improvements. For music creation, try adding:
* Rosegarden or LMMS
* Ardour or Audacity
* FluidSynth or TiMidity
* Jack
* Other Jack-enabled applications
