Missed the list? I’m doing a 30 day geek challenge.
There’s a lot of very good TV Series, and a lot of crappy ones (Like Jersey Shore). I’d like to think I sided with a great one.
If you’ve been living under a rock (Like I had, up until about 6 years ago) and you’ve never heard or seen Stargate SG-1, do yourself a favor, and do it.
The reason it is by far my favorite TV Series is that it combined Sci-Fi and Humor. It was hilarious, but serious when it needed it to be. All cast members where instantly likable, and those that weren’t (I’m looking at you, McKay) were given a chance to redeem themselves on the sister-show Stargate: Atlantis.
SG-1 is a show about a military group that found an Ancient transportation device that opens wormholes to other Earth-like planets and challenges false gods, usually Egyptian-themed (With tons of other cultures mixed in, like Chinese, Celtic, Greek and my favorite ones: The Asgard).
I could keep on writing about how the writers did a great job, and the actors did a great job, but I’d rather stop and let you see for yourself. This show turned me into a Sci-fi geek. It’s that good.
